Alec Baldwin was spotted shopping again Friday in the small Vermont town where he’s been lying low amid an investigation into the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of the Western film “Rust.”
Wearing a black coat and carrying a shopping bag, the 63-year-old actor declined to comment as he climbed into an SUV driven by his wife, Hilaria, after exchanging clothes at Polo Ralph Lauren in Manchester Center on Friday morning.
“This is a tragedy,” Hilaria told The Post before Baldwin walked out of the store, in reference to the fatal bullet he fired last week.
Baldwin and his family have been hunkering down in Manchester, a bucolic and sleepy town of 4,000 people, in the wake of the tragedy. He was also seen at the same upscale store Thursday, sans the beard he sported on the movie set — a sign that filming won’t resume anytime soon.
While shooting the flick in New Mexico on Oct. 21, Baldwin fired a single bullet that hit and killed director of cinematography Halyna Hutchins, then exited her body and struck director Joel Souza in the clavicle.
An investigation is underway to determine how live rounds got into the prop gun and whether charges should be brought in the case.
